Ahh, but that's not quite the end of the story....
To find out what happened after the auction, take a look at the 100goals100weeks.com blog, which starts here. The 12th July 2008 blog posting discusses the final outcome of the auction in some detail, and the whole blog chronicles my travels and adventures since then. It's been an incredible journey!
The eBay auction listing has now disappeared, as eBay only keep listings posted for 90 days after the end of the auction, but for those interested, this is pretty much how the listing looked when the auction ran:-
My name is Ian Usher, and my life is on sale!
Back in November last year I was driving a dump truck aound a gold mine in far
north Western Australia, wondering what to do about my house and its contents.
I thought about selling the house in the usual fashion, but what would I do with
all of the furniture.
I could put everything in storage, but that would cost money and tie me down.
Perhaps I could sell the house fully furnished, but what about my car, bike, and
everything else.
Well, I thought, I could include them too. Wait a minute! i could
sell it all as one big package - sell my whole life and be free to move on and
do whatever I wanted to next!
And so that is what I am doing! You can find out much more at my website
www.ALife4Sale.com, and you can see the
auction itself, which runs until midday (Perth, Western Australia time) on 29th
June, by clicking here:-

There are full details of what is on offer at the auction page itself, or on my
website, but here are a few more videos that show some aspects of my life and
what is included in the ALife4Sale package.
This video was made a few years ago, but for me still sums up what Perth is like as a place to live:-
Kings Park is often described as the lungs of Perth. It is a huge, beautiful park overlooking the city, where people can enjoy the fantastic Perth sunshine:-
Kids Activities In Perth - there is so much taht you can do in Perth to occupy the kids, and it's all FREE:-
Australia Day 2006. I was very proud to achieve one of my goals when I finally became an Australian citizen:-
This is my local beach, about five minutes away by car, or an easy cyle ride:-
Baxters Day Out. Let me make one thing clear - Baxter is not my dog! I am not selling him as part of the package! I do not have a dog. Baxter belongs to my friend Marty. This is a trip he took to the beach one day:-
Bicycle Ride - another great event organised in Perth to promote a healthy, outdoors lifestyle:-
Gravity Games - more entertainment in the heart of the city:-
Karting - we went racing one wet evening, which was great fun as the track was so slippy. This track isn't far from the house:-
House tour - take a quick video tour around the house:-
Watching movies on the big screen, with surround sound is almost like being at the cinema:-
The Spa is a great place to relax with a beer or wine:-
Parrots come and visit the front garden regularly. In the bush just opposite the house there are white cockatoos, black cockatoos, parrots, galahs, and kookaburras among many others:-
Skydiving - I became hooked on skydiving a few years ago. This is a video of my first freefall, followed by some of the next few jumps as I progressed towards jumping solo:-
Motorbiking - I didn't have a motorbike for over five years, and missed it too much. This is great fun:-
Jet Skiing - This was filmed on a winter's day at my local beach:-
Sandboarding - the cheap summer alternative to the more expensive sport of snowboarding:-
Snowboarding - Yes! australia has mountains, snow, skiing and snowboarding:-
Working in a rug shop - my current job, and the guys I work with:-
Working in a gold mine - I worked for six months in the SuperPit in Kalgoorlie, where this was filmed, and then worked for a year from Perth on a fly-in fly-out basis, which involves flying up to a gold mine in the north of WA for two weeks of work, followed by a week off in Perth. It was a pretty good lifestyle:-
100 days to go!!
90 days to go!!
80 days to go!!
70 days to go!!
30 days to go!!
20 days to go!!
10 days to go!! (not done yet)
Good luck if you decide to bid!
Best regards,
Ian Usher
